Iran: Steelworkers’ Protest In Ahvaz Faces A Blatant Crackdown teelworkers’ protest in the city of  Ahvaz  entered its 38th consecutive day On Monday, Dec. 17. On that day, the protest faced a new round of crackdown by the Iran regime’s security forces.  Mass arrests took place overnight . The raids targeted the homes of Iranian National Steel Industries Group (INSIG) workers. They were carried out in absence of warrants, as in cases of politically motivated arrests. Dozens of workers were arrested and many spent nights out of their homes to avoid arrest.

Steelworkers of the Iran National Steel Industrial Group (INSIG) in Ahvaz, Khuzestan, continue their protest for their overdue wages, various problems, mismanagement and corruption in directing this industrial complex. The Steelworkers also demand the return of the INSIG to government ownership. The factory was sold to the private sector under deceitful conditions. The private owners are affiliated to the corrupt ruler, Khamenei, and the Revolutionary Guards’ figures.

Maryam Rajavi: Referring the regime's crimes, especially the 1988 massacre, to the UN Security Council, is the Iranian people’s right and a prerequisite for peace Maryam Rajavi, welcomed the adoption of the 65 th  UN resolution condemning the systematic and grave violations of human rights in Iran. She said the adoption of this resolution “once again confirmed that the regime blatantly tramples upon the Iranian people’s most fundamental rights in all political, social and economic spheres.”

The brave workers of Ahvaz Steel started their thirtieth-two day of strike on Tuesday December 11 with a rally in front of the governorate of the regime in Ahvaz. Many workers had white shrouds on which slogans such as "We stand, we die, we do not accept humiliation" was written.

In Ahvaz, the most recent strikes held by the workers, have swept one of the  mostsignificant  economic and industrial poles of Iran, the Khuzestan Province. In Iran, there is not a day that goes by without witnessing several protests. People from different strata and classes such as teachers, the elderly pensioners, the truck drivers and etc. participate in these protests. Indeed, most of the Iranian people are not seeking improvement in their economic conditions, but are struggling to receive their wage arrears; in some cases, for a couple of years. The state-run Iran Labor News Agency (ILNA) reported that a group of Ahvaz metro workers protested on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2018, for 18 months of unpaid wages. Also, the people whose deposits have been plundered by the financial institutions affiliated to the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC)are protesting for two years, to retrieve their money.

Reuters Research; Pulls The Curtains Aside & Reveals The Untold In recent months, the  Iranian regime’s disinformation campaign  has attracted a lot of attention. Last week, a detailed Reuters’ research shed lights on some parts of the Iranian regime’s campaign across the cyberspace. This coordinated campaign pursues a list of objectives by resorting to all of the regime’s capability including its lobbies, linked websites, “authors”, “columnists”, and etc. But the main goal is to demonize the organized resistance of Iran, especially the MEK\PMOI. For this purpose, the Ministry Of Intelligence and Security, which masterminds the campaign for spreading disinformation, has opened hundreds of fake accounts on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, alphabet, as well as running hundreds of fake websites. Protests continue in Iran as calls increase for U.S. to cut Iran’s ties to Iraq On Sunday, December 9, the  Ahvaz National Steel Industrial  Group workers continued their strike for its 30 th  day. Chants express their dissatisfaction with the regime and the current Iranian President  Hassan Rouhani . Sugarcane workers have also resumed their protest against unfulfilled promises to release detained representatives.

Introduction This year, Human Rights Day marks the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a milestone document that proclaimed the inalienable rights which everyone is entitled to as a human being. The people in Iran, however, are deprived of their most basic rights due to the horrendous violations of human rights committed by the clerical regime ruling the country.

While disturbing to admit, it is a stark reminder of how British prime minister Neville Chamberlain fell to Hitler’s knees in the late 1930s, only to pave the path for World War II. One would think the Green Continent would have learned its lesson, especially after the death of over 60 million people.
